I'm trying to keep at least a once-a-say schedule with this thing. Spent most of the day in Vallejo. Drew some more hats. Discovered the awesome Estonian musician Kerli. Drew some Beachcomber. I usually like to save Beachy for the fancier and more jaw-dropping kinds of things, Cosmos is just drawn more often because his doodles are usually the most unique. I like giving characters nice and layered personalities.
Blah. I'm just rambling right now, really. I don't know why I follow Stan Lee on twitter. I guess it's just nice to stalk someone whose tweets don't really interest me but they're from an important person in the comics business so I'm obligated to like him? Don't get me wrong, I really like the guy and I appreciate his work, but his tweets just do not interest me. Maybe I should just unfollow him and get it over with.
song. http://weebls-stuff.com/toons/aaaaaaaaaaaaahaha/
I drew a real snazzy looking Jetstorm on an index card, but I lost the card so boo. Y'know, there are just some characters in TFA that I think are really just better off on the Decepticons side for various reasons. Jetstorm is better off on the Decepticons side both because of his previous stint as a Vehicon in BM, but also because he's the one who'd probably challenge the Autobot Government more and find faults in it. Chances are once he gets that in his head the D-Con coding MAY OR MAY NOT influence his decisions on an instinctive level.
Another one up for grabs is Drift. Drift I think not only looks better with red eyes, but also probably doesn't have a sense of death and danger as any of the older ones have, since, y'know, war. To him, his preffered fighting style is to just rip chunks off it until it stops moving. But Autobots won't stand for that, and want him to conform to something they decide is good and to make him fit into a mold that he just doesn't fit in to. Being a Cowboy and a Samurai at the same time can be tough, as he's expected to be all chivalrous and full of honor, but also allowed to be reckless and dangerous because that's just how Cowboys are, partner. I say Drift would be much more accepted as the Cowboy he is in his heart as a Decepticon, where you get to shoot at stuff and blow slag up without caring about what you just killed because, hey, look, EXPLOSION!
And then there's Nightbird, whom I suggest started out as an Autobot to train at the Dojo (Because she a ninja lady!) and then blah blah blah betrayed her master blah blah blah Decepticons blah blah blah Megatron blah blah blah Falling In Love Montage blah blah blah you get the drill. I'm kinda losing interest right now because I don't know what else to say. Just keep going, Consuelo, you'll think of something.
MAN it's dark outside, and it's only 8:17! Wow.
Pasadena is like, 6 hours away from where I live. And all the Hotels are sold out (according to twitter). So now what am I gonna do? Have my mom drive me and sleep in the car after BOTCON OMG YAY? I had better find a Beachcomber and/or Cosmos figure there because if I don't then by the power of grayskull...!
